In an attempt to be as transparent to the public as possible, the County has developed a 2022 Annual Financial Reporting Dashboards which allows the public to review the 2022 annual financial information for the County and allows an interactive approach.  This 2022 Annual Financial Reporting provides and overview of the 2022 audited financial statements, combining many of the statements, schedule, notes, and other financial information in an easy to use format.

The Canadian Award for Financial Reporting has been awarded to Vulcan County, Alberta by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its 2021 Annual Financial Report.

The Canadian Award for Financial Reporting Program was established to encourage municipal governments throughout Canada to publish high quality financial reports and to provide peer recognition and technical guidance for officials preparing these reports. Its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as a financial plan, as an operations guide, and as a communications device.
