In an attempt to be as transparent to the public as possible, the County has developed Financial Reporting Dashboards which allows the public to review the financial information for the County and allows an interactive approach of drilling down to specific data and when specific financial data is selected, the dashboard and reports will be adjusted to focus in to the selected information.

The Canadian Award for Financial Reporting has been awarded to Vulcan County, Alberta by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its 2021 Annual Financial Report.

The Canadian Award for Financial Reporting Program was established to encourage municipal governments throughout Canada to publish high quality financial reports and to provide peer recognition and technical guidance for officials preparing these reports. Its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
