REMINDER: Road Protection Bylaw 2021-028
We’d like to remind everyone operating irrigation pivots to please ensure that the pivots are NOT watering roadways. As per our Road Protection Bylaw 2021-028, Section 3.2, “No person shall cause, or permit water used or intended to be used for irrigation purposes to escape or be sprayed into or onto a Roadway.”
The bylaw can be investigated and enforced based on complaints and/or an officer seeing the infraction. A reminder that these offences are subject to a warning and up to a $500 fine. Any damage to County roads will be repaired at the expense of the owner.
