Canada Post Strike & Mail Delivery
The following mail services from the County are currently impacted due to the Canada Post strike. Alternative invoice & payment options for each service are listed below and will be in effect until the strike ends.
Utility Bills & Accounts Receivable:
- Paper bills & invoices will not be mailed
- Payment remains due
Call 403-485-2241 or email reception@vulcancounty.ab.ca for your balance, or to request a copy of your bill. Or visit the County Offices for a copy of your bill.
Tax Levies:
- Tax levies that are overdue remain outstanding
- Penalties will still be issued
- Call our office if you need assistance
How to pay:
- EFT, online banking, call us with credit card
- Drop off a cheque at a County Office (during office hours, or after hours using the secure drop box at the County Administration Building – front of building)
Planning & Development:
- Permit applications can be made in person at the County Administration Building or by emailing forms to devassist@vulcancounty.ab.ca
- Payments will be accepted in person, or by EFT, online banking, or over the phone using a credit card
- Applications requiring notice to adjacent landowners will be held until the end of the postal strike

For in-person visits, the County Administration Building is located at 102 Centre Street, Vulcan, and open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
