Federal Election 2025 – Voter Information

The upcoming Federal Election is on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Where to Vote

It is important that you determine your specified polling station. There are multiple polling stations, and your assigned station may not be the closest one to you. Polling stations are indicated on your voter information card that was mailed, or can be found online.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The rules for voting on advance polling days in the federal election differ from those of the provincial election and municipal election, where you can vote at any advance voting place in the province. You cannot do the same in the federal election. YOU MUST VOTE AT YOUR ASSIGNED POLLING STATION AT THE ADVANCE VOTE AND ON ELECTION DAY.

Federal Ridings in Vulcan County

Vulcan County is split between two federal ridings: Foothills and Bow River. Highway 23/24 is the dividing line.

Foothills District – west of Highway 23/24 (including Town of Vulcan and the Hamlet of Mossleigh)

ELECTION DAY: Vote on Election Day at your assigned polling station on Monday, April 28, 2025.

ADVANCE VOTE: Vote in advance at your assigned polling station on April 18, 19, 20, or 21.

ELECTION CANADA OFFICE BEFORE APRIL 22: Vote at ANY Election Canada Office by April 22 at 6:00 pm. There are Election Canada Offices in Okotoks, Strathmore, or Lethbridge. Voting early at an Election Canada office uses a special ballot process. Click here for more information.

VOTE BY MAIL: Apply online or at any Elections Canada office before April 22 at 6:00 pm. You will vote using the special ballot process. Click here to sign up for vote by mail.

Register to Vote

If you received a voter information card in the mail, you are registered to vote already.

If you have not received a voter information card, check online to see if you are registered. Elections Canada – Am I Registered to Vote

If you are not registered, you can sign up at any Elections Canada Office or at your polling station when you go to vote.

ID to Vote

To vote, you must be a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old on election day. You must have ID (Drivers license, or other government issued ID with your photo, name and current address OR your voter information card along with a bank, school, utility, etc. notice that has your name and current address).
