The Vulcan District Waste Commission consists of one representative from each municipality within Vulcan County as well as two representatives from the County itself and one member at large. The participating municipalities, and Siksika Nation, form a join Commission to construct, maintain, control, and manage an environmentally safe regional solid waste system.
Vulcan County
utilizes five Transfer Stations to collect household and solid waste from within the County limits. Each Transfer site consists of separate compounds to sort solid waste and with the aid of numerous Recycling Depots throughout the County, waste is reduced, reused, and recycled.
