PUBLIC INFORMATION

Vulcan County employees have experienced difficulties with motorists failing to observe the reduced speed requirements within work/construction zones.

Please be reminded that on October 31, 2005 the Province of Alberta enacted legislation providing for the reduction of speeds within a work/construction zone, as well as for the doubling of fines for anyone found in breach of this legislation.

Upon conviction, the Court will impose DOUBLE the fine.

Vulcan County Enforcement Officer requests your cooperation in obeying posted work/construction speed zones, making our roads safer.

Beginning immediately, problem areas of the county will be identified and violators will be prosecuted to ensure the safety of construction workers.
