Monday, 07 January 2008

Vulcan County is located in southern Alberta, lying inbetween the cities of Calgary and Lethbridge.

The county has an area of 1.37 million acres.  Part of the Siksika Indian Reservation is also located in the northern part of the county, adding another 82,971 acres to the total area.  Approximately 3820 people call the hamlets and rural area of Vulcan County their home.  The villages of Champion, Carmangay, Milo, Lomond, Arrowwood, and the town of Vulcan all lie geographically within the county boundaries, however they are not part of our jurisdiction.
